I once mounted a Yamaha 225 2-stroke on my 1976 22ft StarCraft Holiday outboard, it has an insane speed, strong hole shot, but she needed hull reinforcement and it totally transformed the ride, it is worth every bolt, y'all should try it

Yeah, it's definitely wild, the Yamaha 225 maxes out at 225 horsepower, which really wakes up the 22-footer

I did some basic prep myself but hired a pro for the actual hull reinforcement, I didn't want to risk it with such high power, it is better safe than sorry with the structure

Absolutely love it, that's an impressive setup on a classic hull. I'm curious, what kind of speeds are you getting with that 225? Also, how much did the reinforcement cost you?
