Raising the Windshield on my StarCraft

I am thinking about raising the Windshield on my 1996 StarCraft Super fisherman 170 about 6-inches . has anyone ever tried this or done it? The reason I am thinking about this Mod is that the top of the Windshield is below my head and in my sightline . I have seen this Mod done once on a Lund boat almost the some size and model , from what I saw it would work perfectly. Anyone have any thoughts about this? FYI , I'm probably going to do it .
