Fuel tank size

So the 1985 191 Islander I got has a few things I'll need to work on. I did manage to start it pulling fuel from a bottle which is where my question comes in. The guy that sold it to me mentioned something about his dad upgrading the fual tank to be bigger, which I wasn't aware is possible. So, any way to figure this out without disassembling the boat or that inevitable?

You might trace the fuel line from the engine back to the tank to check its location and size, sometimes access panels or inspection ports offer a peek without full disassembly.
