Thank you for approving my member request. I am Ed Szeliga, primary home is in Keswick VA (near Charlottesville). We have a condo at Smith Mt. Lake, and a 2021 SVX 211 - 150 HP Honda outboard. I am a do it myself guy on a lot of things - I don't plan to tackle an outboard motor services or repairs but I will attend to hardware and a few other things on the boat that wear out. The 211 SVX is a solid choice for Smith Mountain Lake. That Honda should treat you well. You mentioned handling the hardware wear and tear yourself. Are you planning to keep a close eye on the zincs and through hull fittings, or more thinking about things like cleats and railings?
